Canada is on track to exceed 1,00,000 ITA’s issued in 2020 which is the most ever in one year.

Ministerial Instructions respecting invitations to apply for permanent residence under the Express Entry system #168 – November 25, 2020

Number of invitations issued: 5,000

Date and time of round: November 25, 2020 at 13:04:56 UTC

CRS score of lowest-ranked candidates invited: 469

If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.

The highest scoring candidates receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian Permanent Residence in an Express Entry invitation round.

The new draw brings the total number of ITA’s issued in 2020 to 97,350.

This year is shaping up to be a new record-breaking year for Express Entry, as the number of ITA’s issued to date is the highest it has ever been. The invitations give clarity that Canada is going to reach their target which they have set to 4,00,000 for 2020.

This year, the CRS requirement has typically hovered above 470 for all program draws. The Federal Skilled Trades Program-only draw on August 6 invited trades workers with a CRS of 415, and previous Canadian Experience Class-only draws dipped into the 440’s. PNP-only draws have higher requirements because Express Entry candidates who receive a provincial nomination are automatically awarded an additional 600 CRS points. PNPs offer alternative pathways to permanent residence for Express Entry candidates who have a lower CRS score.
