Biometric fee and exemptions changes

Upcoming release notes for the Global Case Management System (GCMS) will address the system’s new ability to accept partial biometric enrolment. Though the functionality for partial enrolments exists within GCMS, it is not yet available in IRCC’s Biometric Collection System. The Biometric exemptions page has been updated to reflect the postponement of partial enrolments and to provide links to all current biometric public policy exemptions.

The biometric fee code exemption list has also been updated in GCMS to align with the exemptions identified in subsection 315.1(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations. The Biometric fee page has been updated to include a table outlining the new biometric cost recovery codes.

The biometric chapter of the COD 1 - Cost Recovery Exemption Code page shows the outdated fee exemption codes, but it is expected to be updated later in the year to reflect the above-mentioned changes.

Updated Instructions

  1. Biometric fees
  2. Biometrics exemptions
