Canada-U.S. border closure extended for seventh time

U.S. travelers will only be allowed to come to Canada for essential requirements

Canada continuing over travel restrictions for another month.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has confirmed via Facebook that Canada-U.S. border’s will be closed for non-essential travel until November 21, 2020.

Travelers those who are seeking to enter into Canada from U.S. for tourism, shopping, entertainment, etc., will be returned back at the border.

Canadian citizens and permanent residents in U.S. and their immediate family members can cross the border, immediate family members spouse, common law partners, parents or step-parents, children are also can cross the border.

People can also come to Canada for compassionate reasons, such as funeral, to be present during the last stage of their loved ones or provide medical report.

“We have committed to keeping Canadians safe and we keep extending the border closures because the United States is not in a place where we would feel comfortable reopening those borders,” Justin said.

U.S. still has the highest total number of Corona virus cases in the world, around 8 million cases. Canada has reported nearly 2,00,000 cases.
