Ontario holds new Tech Draw inviting 772 Express Entry candidates

Ontario's new PNP draw targets Express Entry candidates with work experience in one of six tech occupations

Ontario held a new Tech Draw on October 15, inviting Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination.

Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP) issued targeted Notification on Interest (NOI’s) to candidates who may qualify for the Express Entry human Capital Priorities stream

A total of 772 applicants received NOI’s from the Tech Draw. Those who received NOI’s required a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score between 462-470. They also should have work experience in one of the following occupations:

Candidates did not require any job offer to receive an invitation, but they should fall under any one of the above-mentioned tech occupations with at least one year of work experience.

The Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP) regularly searches Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s (IRCC) Express Entry pool to find candidates who may meet the criteria of one of Ontario’s Express Entry immigration streams.

After applicant receive a notification of interest, applicant may submit an online application to the Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP) if applicant qualify under the Ontario Express Entry stream for which their notification of interest was issued. Applicant must submit their application within 45 calendar days of receiving the notification of interest.

NOTE: Not all the applicants who meet the Ontario’s stream criteria will receive a notification of interest.
