  British Columbia issues 256 invitations in latest PNP draw Periodically, BC invites the highest scoring registrants in each category to apply to the BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP). Ontario issues invitations to Entrepreneur candidates

Ontario has now invited 112 immigrant entrepreneur candidates so far this year.

Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) issued 21 invitations to apply the Entrepreneur Stream. Applicants were eligible for consideration for this round, if you submitted your Express of Interest (EOI) between November 22, 2019 and October 16, 2020.

Applicants received an Invitation to apply if their Expression of Interest (EOI) got a score between 142 and 200.

Applicants those who received an invitation to apply, do not need to contact the program, they’ll receive two emails. One email contains the login credentials and the second email will contain instructions on how to submit a complete application. Here applicants carefully need to follow the instructions which has been sent in both emails.

If applicants Expression of Interest (EOI) was eligible but didn’t received an Invitation to Apply this round, it is still eligible to receive an Invitation to Apply for future rounds for 12 months from the date application submitted.

This is Ontario’s fifth Entrepreneur Stream draw of 2020, which brings the total number of entrepreneurs invited up to 112.

Entrepreneurs must meet the following criteria in order to be nominated once they have established the business and meet the performance agreement. Successfully obtained a Nomination Certificate allows applicants to make an application for Canadian Permanent Residence.

The following requirements must meet when entrepreneurs apply for a Nomination from Ontario after the business has been established:

  • Demonstrate official language proficiency at a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4 or equivalent;
  • Meet the residency requirements of the program, applicants must be physically residing in Ontario for at least 75% (which is 9 months out of the year) of the period in which they are establishing the business in Ontario (i.e. the performance agreement period);
  • Entrepreneurs must actively involve in the daily management of business activities.
