B.C. invites 417 PNP candidates to apply for a provincial nomination

British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program invited candidates from five immigration sub-categories.

British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) issued a total of 417 invitations through Express Entry and skills immigration streams. Candidates were invited under Skilled Worker, International Graduates, Entry Level and Semi-Skilled subcategory under Skills Immigration Stream.

British Columbia invited immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence on October 14, 2020.

The minimum score required for applicants varied between 75 and 94 for above mentioned categories. Also, there are few occupations which left out of this draw due to the coronavirus pandemic. Excluded occupations are mentioned in below table.

British Columbia holds draw through its various PNP categories on weekly basis. Two weeks ago, British Columbia has issued 450 provincial nomination invitation which is the highest draw so far this year.

The last draw which British Columbia holds is Tech Pilot program which is having 29 eligible demand occupation list which has given 72 Invitations.

To apply for the Skills Immigration or Express Entry BC categories candidates must first create a profile through the BC PNP’s online portal and register under its Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).

Applicants those who are evaluated and issued a score based on the factors such as age, education, professional experience, proficiency in English. If applicant is approved then they can apply to permanent residence through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada under Provincial Nominee Program category.

Applicants those who submitted their profile in Express Entry who receive a Nomination from British Columbia will be given an additional 600 points to their CRS score.
